The landscape of Cappadocia is one of the strangest on our planet, and the best way to see it is from the air. Better still, you can see it with a serene trip aboard a hot air balloon.

Departure is at sunrise everyday throughout the season, weather permitting. You will be transferred from your accommodation to the departure point which is governed by the direction of the breeze and it will give you the most interesting flight of the day. Preperation of the equipment takes about half an hour and you are welcome to help the pilots or take pictures.

The flight starts at seven in the morning, with a very smooth take off that you do not even feel it. Since the balloon is detached from the ground, vertigo is not experienced.The flight can be low enough to pick up apricots from the trees and high enough to watch Cappadocia and its landscape curving away into the distance.

Once the flight is over, you are treated to a glass of the local champagne before the transfer back. Our balloon flights are operated by Kapadokya Balloons Ltd who have flown balloons for over 25 years around the world and over Cappadocia since 1990. There are 2 balloons with a joint capacity up to 20 passengers. There is no age limit; you will need clothing appropriate for the time of the year, sensible walking shoes, plenty of film and your camera. Your booking will be re-confirmed before the night of your flight.
