Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive at Cappadocia and transfer to Avanos for Flight from Istanbul to Nevsehir or Kayseri. Transfer by minivan to Avanos and check in at the hotel.

Day 2: Start the day riding from Avanos. Ride through the stunning Dereyamanli valley to Uchisar for an al fresco lunch beneath the village's impressive rock fortress. Ride on to Ibrahimpasa, an old village boasting with exquisite Greek architecture; then ride on through the Balkan Deresi valley to Kavak where we will camp for the night.

Day 3: Breakfast, and then we ride through the village of Bahceli observing bee hive like hills to Ayvali, a quiet town in the midst of lush apricot groves. We then ride on Lake Damsa for a picnic lunch. We will stroll around the valleys and explore this lunar landscape, and even take a dip with the horses in the lake. Tonight we will camp in a valley just outside the charming village of Cemil.

Day 4: Our day starts with a visit to a beautiful 11th century monastery then we traverse valleys full of Cappadocia’s famous fairy chimneys. After lunch, we ride to the village of Taskinpasa to visit the 14th century mosque, and finally to Karain for a peaceful night camping by a picturesque fountain.

Day 5: Ride up to the Akkoy plateau for a breathtaking view then on to Sofular for lunch. Following the ancient 13th century caravan route - the Uzun Yol (long road) – we will ride our way to the banks of Kizilirmak, Turkey's longest river, where we will camp for the night. Those who feel adventurous can try their hand at fishing Turkish style tonight.

Day 6: We will start riding again after breakfast, this time to Sarihidir, a tiny fishing village on the Red River. We head on to Avanos after lunch and explore the town.
Tonight we will enjoy a farewell dinner at the hotel.
                                                                       
Day 7: Early morning transfer to the airport (either Kayseri or Nevsehir) for the next destination.
